Neuropathy

I am a woman in my 80’s, with neuropathy in my legs for the past three years. I have nerve damage and extreme tightness in the legs from the knees down to my feet. It is difficult to walk any distances, such as inside Mass General Hospital, where I go for my doctor visits and usually use a wheelchair. I took an EMG test, but because my nerves were jumping and it was so uncomfortable, I could not complete the test. I was treated with a cortisone shot in the spine, which was extremely painful, but it did not alleviate my symptoms. I became very concerned because the tightness began to travel above the knees.

Then I received a few Reiki treatments from Karen Majalian. During the first session, I felt a tingling sensation down my legs while Karen had her hands on my knees. During another session, I told Karen, “This is the first time I’ve relaxed in thirty years!” I was so relaxed I almost went to sleep. Afterwards, I felt my legs were much lighter as I walked around my home. However, the surprise came when I went to two of my doctor visits. Thanks to Karen and the Reiki, I was actually able to walk around Mass General Hospital with a cane, instead of using the wheelchair!
